Spring/Summer at Uniqlo

There are some great collaborations in store and online at Uniqlo at the moment so I felt compelled to share.

The Cabbages & Roses floral print collection has more than just a touch of vintage too it but is wearable whatever your age or shape.

I have this t-shirt from the range.

Celia Birtwell has put her name and her pattern book to lots of ranges recently and her is her latest. I have a pair of fantastic cropped trousers with a more monochrome print waiting for some good weather, but how can you resist these fabulous colours?

And last but by no means least, Lulu Guinness has produced a range of simple yet stylish t-shirts to team with black cut-offs or wide skirts.

In my experience Uniqlo clothing is great value for money but also wears pretty well for the prices and wash a treat!

Theory collaboration with Uniqlo

WOMEN Theory Down Jacket
Puffa jacket, designed by Theory, made by Uniqlo

Most of the high street has designer collaborations these days, and most you can leave. So often the designs are just poor versions of the catwalk - although I do like the way in which Debenhams collaborates with their Designers at Debenhams - there seems to be a bit more subtstance. But you won't see me queuing outside H&M anytime soon...

However I do like this Theory collaboration with Uniqlo - one of my high street staple favourites I must admit. I am sitting and typing this in Uniqlo jeans and t-shirt so I'm not lying.

Uniqlo are becoming famous for their real down puffa jackets and this women's Theory down jacket is just a little bit special with the zip up inner collar and black and white colourway. And at £89.90 for real and designer down it's not a bad price.

And if you like things a bit more colourful and for the tube rather than the piste, here is another Uniqlo down jacket for exactly the same price.

Uniqlo Innovation Project has launched!

I am a sucker for Uniqlo clothing - they really do great basics for all shapes, sizes and most importantly ages. You won't feel like mutton wearing their clothes and they do seem to be pretty hard wearing - mine need to be they get washed so much...

Yesterday saw the launch of the UNIQLO Innovation Project collection which represents the 'ultimate in everyday apparel, pairing universal designs with revolutionary functionality, a concept that UNIQLO intends to roll out to all it’s clothing in the future.'

Through working with top creative talent; Design Director Naoki Takizawa, Creative Director Kashiwa Sato and Style Director Nicola Formichetti (the collection was showcased for the first time in Formichetti’s pop up store in New York last weekend), the UNIQLO Innovation Project takes clothing to the next level; featuring a versatile collection of garments with cutting-edge fabric technology.

What this actually means is that they have paired their top creatives with fabric manufacturing to develop new products that do the following....

UNIQLO  launched the first collection under the new UNIQLO Innovation Project concept on Friday 23 September. The collection is online now with free delivery for the first week, and is available to buy in-store 311 Oxford Street and UNIQLO Westfield London
