Passerby Pushes Suicidal Man Off Bridge

After keeping police and rescue workers on their toes for hours, an angry passerby pushed a suicidal man off a bridge last week, according to reports in the news media.
Footage has emerged of an angry passerby pushing a suicidal man off a bridge in Guangdong province, China. Retired soldier Lai Jiansheng, 66, reached out to shake hands with Chen Fuchao before shoving him off.
The heavily indebted Chen Fuchao fell eight feet into a bed that was partially inflated by emergency air. He was hospitalized with wrist injuries and back injuries.

Chen Fuchao will be charged with disorderly conduct, while Lai was charged with causing intentional injury. He told the news media that he pushed the possible suicide jumper off the bridge because he was tired of the man’s selfish activity, according to reports.
Chen wanted to kill himself because he had 2 million yuan or $294,000 in debt after a failed construction project, according to reports.
