Burt's Bees Almond Milk Hand Cream

Okay, it almost feels like I do a monthly update as I discover new Burt's Bees products but I am a proper bona fide fan who thinks if you don't turn to them for chapped lips, dry skin or general making everything that  little bit better then you're a bit of a numpty. Okay?

I was at a friend's house the other day and her hands were in a very poor state due to her being a stained glass artist and keeping chickens. This product is on it's way to her for sure as she needs it more than me and apparently she's a fan too!

This cream is made with sweet almond oil and vitamin E plus soothing beeswax which helps to seal in moisture while allowing skin to breath naturally. I think this is the key to the efficacy of the products, the ability for the skin to act natural underneath a layer of product. I also smells heavenly. Have a pot handy, you won't regret it! Thanks Burt's Bees for sending this one over.

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Hydratation Mask

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Hydratation Mask (so good they almost named it twice) appeared on my doormat a few days ago (thank you PR) so what with wanting to dabble with a less-make-up-is-more look with the sun coming out and all that, I thought I'd give my sad winter face a bit of a boost.

I have written about Burt's Bee products a lot in the past. Their lip-balms really do work to rescue the most chapped of lips and their body butters are pretty heavenly. This new product which comes in the form of a treatment mask and contains Clary Sage, is no different. I cleansed my face thoroughly and applied a thin layer which was left of for around 10 minutes then anything that hadn't been absorbed (well I knew my skin was dry) I massaged in. Doing this just before bedtime meant that I went to bed with a heavenly scent on my skin which helped me drift off too...

In the morning my skin definitely felt softer and looked more hydrated. One to add to my list of must have Burt's Bees products. It contains Mafura and Tucuma butters and like all their products is free of petrochemicals and other synthetic ingredients. Nothing is tested on animals either.

Latest Spa Treats from Burt's Bees

I know I've gone on a lot in the past about how much I love Burt's Bees products - and I still do!

They've now gone one step further and are launching (from September so not long to go) a Spa range so you can get the benefit of these natural and gorgeous smelling products from head-to-toe.

There are three main flavours in the range. Mango and orange are combined to revitalise, honey and shea provide relaxation and cranberry and pomegranate replenish. It was the latter that I tried in the form of the body bar (£4.99, 140g), sugar scrub (£12.99, 225g) and body butter (£12.99, 185g). I wasn't disappointed...

They smell heavenly. The body bar was ideal both for all-over washing and for giving yourself a home foot treatment. I followed this with the scrub which has LOADS of sugar - so is really effective. On removal the oils make your skin feel soft and moisturised. I almost didn't need the body butter but I'm glad I got it - it's heavenly and easily absorbed.

I would be more than happy to get all three of these as a present (Christmas anyone?).
The Burt's Bees Spa range is available from Burt's Bees from September 2011.

Burt's Bees Buzzing with New Ideas

First it was the lip-balm, then it was the tinted lip-balm in a tin, now there seems to be a new Burt's Bee's product every week keeping all those bees employed overtime..

This is one of my favourites which smells divine, lathers up a storm and leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised for hours afterwards... must be the addition of Shea Butter.

I am also happy to see that the cute little Burt's Bees tinted tins now come in a neat little lipstick format which is small enough for your purse. They have a sweet flavour and come in 6 shades, Hibiscus, Tiger, Lily, Pink Blossom, Honeysuckle, Rose and Red Dahlia. They contain Shea Butter, Vitamin E and Beeswax with no added nasties. At £5.99 I can afford more than just the one which is always a bonus. New Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms give you a hint of colour.
