Co.Cc Menghilang dari Indeks Google! (Google Banned Co.Cc)
Setelah
Another Sunday lunch and a new barbecue recipe...
So the sun shone again and a Serb won Wimbledon.

What was not to like about today! I always plan for rubbish weather at the weekends and had a large chicken sitting in the fridge for a more traditional roast. But with these temperatures and a husband offering to man the barbecue, I decided to divide up the chicken and marinade it first thing.
The breasts which you can see here were marinaded in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic puree and the killer ingredient, fennel seeds. Putting the whole lot under cling-film in the fridge for the entire morning made the chicken so creamy and tender and the mix of flavours so delicious, it beats anything you can get out of a bottle, believe me. I can't lay claim to making my own sausages but these little small babies are from the Asda Extra Special range and are really meaty and not too spicy. Demolished in seconds.
Here is my herb patch which I simply can't live without. Although you can see the earth is pretty typical London clay and a bit stony, the herbs have thrived this year - it must be because of the sunshine and heavy downpours we've been having. The patch includes oregano, mint, chives, sage and of course, my favourite, rosemary which I put into all sorts of dishes.
And here is my veg patch which is a mad mix of curly kale, potatoes, sweetcorn, tomatoes, french beans, garlic, radishes, lettuce - and all in a plot 8ft by 8ft or thereabouts. Can't take credit for any of this, husband does it all, but I do enjoy picking and cooking with it all...
After lunch we wandered down the hill to our local park to support a festival in aid of the Pro-Cancer Research Fund. Although the Wimbledon final was on there was a fantastic turnout with everything from alternative therapy tents to live music and Zumba. This is a splendid example of what local people who want to make a difference can do and have been doing for a lot longer than the Governments Big Society bandwagon jumping would lead us to believe. This has been going on for a few years now and goes from strength to strength. And they always seem to get good weather so someone is on their side!

Favourite designs at Wolf & Badger
Following on from my plea to support independent designers I want to tell you about the Wolf & Badger boutique in Notting Hill. They curate some fantastically exciting designers and here are a few of my favourites to be found on the Wolf and Badger website.

An alternative to the black tux is, well a white tux, and this one is particularly gorgeous.... From Irwin & Jordan the cut is minimalist with sleek tailoring and I am loving the chain fastening detail - at £595 it's a classic that will last years.

Wolf & Badger are a company that likes to be ahead of the game so following a highly successful collaboration with Selfridges last August and more recently the Savoy Hotel they are setting up a pop-up shop for three months in the beautiful Bay of Kotor, Porto Montenegro which is one of the largest and most beautiful natural harbours in the world. The Adriatic is fast becoming one of the coolest places to hang out in Europe and this state-of-the-art marina is the perfect place to showcase great design to the rich and famous.
I like a nice scarf, me, and they don't come much nicer than the Willow scarf with it's hummingbird design by Helen Ruth for £165.
Readers of this blog know how much I love my Kindle so this snakeskin Kindle case from Capulet at £149 is going straight on my Christmas list. It's printed leather so be assured - no snakes were harmed!
I love jewellery - but I like it to be both elegant and creative. These pieces are just that...
This Navajo Anabel Campbell silver necklace can be worn with the gold plated hoops at the front or back depending on the look your going for. I love it because it's made in London and costs £195 (but looks more expensive). add a summery splash of colour to any evening outfit. Not only stylish but also versatile, this necklace can be worn either with the gold plated hoops and links at the front or the back, depending on the look you want. Handmade in London.
This Momocreatura 22ct gold plated sterling siver £330 bear makes me laugh although a chained bear is not particularly funny (although it does remind me of the Russian fairytales of my childhood). There was also a hanged mouse which was too grim for me...An alternative to the black tux is, well a white tux, and this one is particularly gorgeous.... Mengapa Jumlah Backlink Google Sedikit?
Things that made me happy this week....
Thought I'd share the happiness of my week with everyone... just because I can.
My baby finally left school this week - A levels over, book return day came and the locker which had been her's for 7 years was finally cleared. I remember that wonderful feeling of excitement and relief so well - and I also remember that I didn't once feel any sense of closure that brought sadness. I can see this in her too, so I am feeling wistful on her behalf. Here she is with her friend Charlie and this pic really captures a moment of pure joy - she'll kill me if she sees I've posted this but hey - it's my blog!
What else has made me happy?
The Sales Are On!

We have wonderful interns who come from an American College and love us so much they buy us cakes when they leave...
Here was our cake gift this week from Lola's Cupcakes which taste as good as they look...

And although I haven't got a huge amount of disposable at the moment - or if I'm honest a very great need to shop, I can't resist a bargain! There really are some bargains out there and I would suggest a trip or online visit to River Island which only started yesterday and has a huge amount on sale, Banana Republic also has some fantastic dresses and summer tops are truly knock-down prices and Top Shop is always worth a rummage.

Just to enhance the impression that I'm completely obsessed with food I also had a fab night this week with some of our bloggers at a Handpicked meet-up in a relatively new eaterie in the Carnaby Street area - Flat Planet. If you're ever passing and want a fresh and delicious lunchtime treat then check them out. Their speciality is flatbreads with a wide range of toppings all baked in front of your eyes. It's always lovely to meet bloggers - we are lucky that they are such a great group of lively and entertaining people.
