New Formula Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+ from Clinique - on sale today!

Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion from Clinique is probably one of the first moisturisers I ever used and it has often been part of my skincare regime across the years. I was therefore really interested to try out the New Formula Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+ which has changed the product slightly to allow it to fall in line with the many changes in skin care technology which have taken place.

On sale from today, no less that 6 and a half years and 3 formulating dermatologists, 53 researchers and 100 formula trials have gone into getting this Lotion+ just right. They put in new ingredients, tested and tested again with over 1,600 women from different ethnicities and across 5 countries and the final product got glowing reviews all round.

I have been using it for a week and I must say my skin feels soft, moisturised and looks really much brighter. Even though it ways it's for very dry to dry skin (which my skin isn't really) it is a light formula which is easily absorbed.

I've given this to my girls who use it regularly too so can't really say more than that.

Hyaluronic Acid which helps skin to retain water

Glycerin which attracts water to the skin from the surrounding air.

Urea which is a naturally occurring component in the production of the skin's own natural moisurising factor so mimics what our healthy skin does on it's own.

Steam Cream Moisturiser review

Ages ago I was sent a pot of SteamCream to try out but it was an email about the new design that jogged my memory that I really must blog about it as I liked it so much!

SteamCream is great as a base under make-up, an emergency handcream, and for dry places like knees and elbows. It has a gorgeous smell and is collectable as the tins come in a huge variety of designs so do check out the website for more than just my favourites pictured here.

But what is SteamCream?

It's a freshly handmade moisturising cream using high quality natural ingredients that are then fused together by the introduction of a shot of steam making it lightweight to use and easily absorbed. It contains things like orange flower water, lavender, rose and chamomile so it smells heavenly all sourced from sustainable sources too.

It's also handmade in the UK and Japan (always a big plus for me) and because the tins are so pretty you can use them for storage (pins etc) so you can upcycle them rather than recycle. I love this skincare as it smells good, is really gentle and seems to work really, really well.

SteamCream is well worth the investment of £12.95 as it performs as well as many creams at three times the price!

Ginvera BB Cream reviewed

I have to admit I am not really a fan of BB creams. Its really a tinted moisturiser with an spf added and there is more than a whiff of beauty marketing about them - well that's how it appears to me. In the summer I wear moisturiser and in the winter I wear a foundation... so what's all the noise about BB creams then?

So I haven't really given them much thought since everyone has gone a bit BB cream mad over the last year or so. This week, however, I was sent (unrequested I hasten to add) a tube of Ginvera BB Cream, a brand which hails from Singapore. Ginvera BB cream Green Tea Nude Cover does claim to multi-task using the anti-oxidant power of green tea plus anti-blemish properties while being a primer, foundation, sunblock moisturiser and concealer all-in-one.

So how did I find it? Well at the moment my skin is quite tanned and this did come out rather pale - but it was quickly absorbed and spread evenly allowing my tan to shine through while giving a bit of cover to any redness or blemishes. It also has an SPF of 30 plus so will help with those wrinkles!

It has a fresh fragrance and I must admit after one application (so I don't know about any long term benefits yet) my skin does look fairly awesome today... No shine or grease and just a hint of cover, yes I really rather like this!
