Granny Boyd isn't Nigella's granny - she's her editor's grannie and her biscuits are a heavenly melt in the mouth, all dark chocolate flavour and crumble.
The best thing about them is the ingredients is lurking in your store cupboard and they are simple to make.
You will need:
300g self-raising flour, 30g cocoa powder, 250g soft unsalted butter, 125g caster sugar, 2 greased baking sheets.
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Sieve together the flour and cocoa. Cream the butter and sugar then work in the flour. Do not add any extra liquid even though it looks dry.
Roll into walnut sized balls and put on sheet leaving lots of space around as they will spread. Squash down with a fork Bake for 5 mins then turn the oven down to 150g for a further 15 mins. Carefully remove ont a wire rack to cool.
Simply amazing! (makes around 35 depending on size - mine were big!)
